This photon transmission sensor brings a new level of performance and visibility of electrode coatings applied to aluminum and copper foil substrates. It is ultra-accurate, ultra-stable, and ultra-reliable, providing superior measurement resolution of lithium-ion battery coatings compared to traditional Beta sensors. And unlike nuclear sensors, it does not degrade over time. Nordson's photon gauge delivers a measurement performance typically better than ±0.05 percent of the coating's actual weight on anodes and cathodes. Optimized optics and ultra-small beam size enable this sensor to deliver ultra-high-resolution measurements for excellent visibility of the coating and narrow streak detection. With the photon sensor, you achieve sharp streak and edge detection - ideally suited for patch and zone coating applications.
