DIN-NX Volumetric Pump Controllers
Control 797PCP and 797PCP-2K Series progressive cavity pumps using Ethernet compatibility with NX protocol via TCP/IP for Smart Factory integration.
Overview
Programmable From Your PLC
This technology enhancement allows operators to control all dispensing parameters directly from a PLC or computer, giving the operator complete remote access to our 797PCP Series volumetric dispensing pumps. Save time by updating multiple controllers from a PLC's human machine interface (HMI) on your automated manufacturing lines or cells. The 7197PCP-DIN-NX controller’s small form factor provides more working space on an automated production line. It is designed for mounting on a DIN rail inside machine cabinets.
Two 7197PCP-DIN-NX controllers are required for two-component (2K) meter mix dispensing.

Real-Time Troubleshooting
The 7197PCP-DIN-NX controller comes with Nordson NX Client Application software that allows users to send controller settings (registers) directly to the unit. That means if the process outcome isn't correct you can check the registers sent to see if a setting was changed. You can also receive feedback from the unit to detect if an error has occurred.
This means you can better determine if a production issue stems from the dispensing hardware or the machine / process setup itself.
The Nordson NX Client Application shows how the controller settings (registers) can be written to fully control a 7197PCP-DIN-NX controller using the NX protocol, thus allowing a greater understanding of the communication process. You can use the Nordson NX Client Application to facilitate the implementation and development of your own PLC application.
For more information, please watch this video: How to Use the Nordson NX Client Application.
Intuitive Web Interface
In addition to programming your controller from a PLC, you can also program the 7197PCP-DIN-NX controller from an intuitive web interface. This adds convenience to program the controller from nearly any device remotely.
The 7197PCP-DIN-NX controller allows programming with Line, Volume, Weight, and Timed dispense modes for a wide range of dispensing applications.
.
Monitor Your Process Remotely
Using either the web interface or the Nordson NX Client Application, users can monitor the dispensing parameters remotely. This allows greater control of the volumetric dispensing process because you can see if a change was made to the settings.
You can verify rotor movement with encoder count feedback, which essentially tells the operator that the progressive cavity pump is running. This can help improve process control. For example, if the pumps stop running, the operator can troubleshoot before the interruption greatly impacts productivity.
