More than 130 types of valves are available for nearly any type of fluid and application requirement. Nordson EFD valve controllers allow users to make on-the-fly adjustments to maximize the accuracy and efficiency of the valve.
We also offer a new line of DIN-rail mounted controllers, the PICO Nexμs and 7197PCP-DIN-NX, that allow off-the-shelf integration with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces (HMIs), and other equipment on a network. These products provide a small form factor, offering more working space on an automated production line.

Save Room on Your Factory Floor
The PICO Nexμs jetting controller's small form factor and DIN rail construction allows machine builders and system integrators to mount multiple controllers into existing machine cabinets, saving space in your machine build.
This out-of-sight solution provides seamless control and monitoring of jetting parameters. Operators can control these units with a PLC or other plant controller and connect it to an HMI such as a personal computer or machine monitor.

Industry 4.0 Connectivity
The PICO Nexμs jetting system is the Core of Connectivity and drives your Industry 4.0 initiatives by:
- Communicating using standard protocols such as PROFINET® and EtherNet/IP™ via Industrial Ethernet
- Providing control of your jetting systems from an HMI of your choice
- Plug-and-play integration into different machine builds with 24V compatibility
The intuitive web interface makes it easy to set up, program, and monitor your jetting valves on site or remotely.
Benefits of Jetting
When it comes to jetting, the advantage is speed. The elimination of a Z-axis requirement allows jetting valves to hover over your working part as fluid “flies,” or jets, out of the valve. This can be a huge asset to clients who are high volume manufacturers and need to speed up production — which jetting can do nearly 14 times faster than standard contact valves and syringes.
Jetting is also a great option when the substrate your client is working on is fragile. Since jetting is no-contact, this helps eliminate the potential for damage to the part and reduces product rejects.

Connectivity for Contact Dispensing
Our UltimusPlus I-II Dispensers are network-capable benchtop fluid dispensers designed for advanced applications and data-driven manufacturing. The dispensers are compatible with a wide variety of fluids including glues, oils, greases, epoxies, silicones, sealants, cyanoacrylates, solder pastes, and more for a solution optimal in most machine builds.
UltimusPlus dispensers can be remotely accessible for easy monitoring and control from plant controllers using Ethernet compatibility with NX protocol via TCP/IP for Smart Factory integration.
In contact dispensing, the dispense head must come into contact with the dispensing surface in order to make a deposit. This makes the contact dispensing method slower than non-contact dispensing, but not necessarily less accurate.
Syringe dispensing, in particular, allows for a faster change out of fluid reservoirs and greater versatility to dispense different types of fluid.

For both one- and two-component fluid dispensing applications, the 7197PCP-DIN-NX controllers are a great fit. They’re designed for easy mounting on a DIN rail inside existing machine cabinets, allowing seamless integration into existing machine builds.
These volumetric dispensing systems can be remotely accessible for easy monitoring and control from any plant controller using Ethernet compatibility with NX protocol via TCP/IP for Industry 4.0 integration.
Your application might require volumetric dispensing when a client requires the exact same volume of fluid to be applied every time. This system offers best-in-class accuracy and repeatability at ± 1% and is ideal for epoxies or any fluid with a viscosity that changes over time.
