EcoDry® Compound Dryer: The Nordson® EcoDry® Compound Dryer is economical, compact, and specifically designed for smaller production lines with a wide range of can ends.

Induction Compound Dryers: Induction-drying technology uses 85 to 90 percent of the power consumed to directly heat the ends for greater heating efficiency. Designed for production lines with speeds up to 2200 ends per minute

Induction Curing Systems: Advanced induction heating system cures side-seam coatings, powder or liquid on three-piece welded cans. Significantly lowers operating costs and maintenance requirements and heats the metal directly, not air around it. Provides fast heating of metal – over 100°C temperature rise within one second.

ISC2 Pre-Cure Oven: can increase curing capacity and line speeds by as much as 20 percent, without increasing the capacity of an existing oven.

Industrial Ink-Dot Marking System: designed to improve process monitoring by quickly identifying malfunctioning spray machines on the coating line. The system applies a small, inconspicuous dot of ink on the bottom of each can as it enters the spray machine.

NEW Ink-Dot I.D. System Controller: can be configured to trigger one to two guns, three to four guns, five to six guns, seven to eight guns. The controller supplies power to the system's inductive proximity sensor, which then signals the driver to transmit a preset delay duration to the appropriate gun.

Ink-Dot Reservoir Manifold Assembly: The new Ink-Dot Reservoir Manifold enhances convenience when using the Nordson Ink-Dot I.D. System, enabling you to use the same bottle the ink is shipped in as the supply vessel for the system.

Fast response provides more open time for each spray cycle, which allows for faster operating speeds when desired and lower operating pressures, generating less bounceback of applied coating.

With traditional beer and beverage waterborne lacquers, the MEG II gun coupled with a Nordson driver opens in less than 2 milliseconds (2.5 times faster than standard guns) and closes in less than 2 milliseconds (4 times faster than the industry average).

The ball-and-seat assembly is designed to minimize wear, which greatly extends the product life of the guns. When repairs are needed, the guns modules can be replaced on-line for minimal downtime.

The gun bodies are designed with “flats” to grab with a wrench for easier maintenance, and the seat holder has an indexing ability so the seat can be rotated to promote uniform wear on the contact points of the coil face.

Cleaning guns are triggered by the iTrax Spray Controller, which integrates with the timing mechanism of the lacquer spray gun. The process-control system receives the lacquer gun-firing signal, which activates a user-selectable spray indexer. The controller then signals the CleanSpray XT gun to fire after a selected number of lacquer sprays.

Spray duration and delay are also selectable. System design restricts operator access to prevent unauthorized adjustment of the timer settings. Cleaning materials are supplied to the gun by a Nordson airoperated stainless steel pump. The pump features a mechanical air valve for reliable, fast cycling and ScoreGuard® pistons to provide long service life. A filter and fluid pressure regulator are also included with the system.

The iDry compound dryer runs on a lower wattage than convection dryers, while 85 to 90 percent of the power consumed is used directly to heat the ends, making it the economical choice in all production environments. The system can cure up to 2200 can ends per minute (per lane).

Instant-on/instant-off heating not only gives consistent drying for a quality product, but also contributes to energy savings by substantially reducing energy waste by shutting off during line stoppages. The iDry compound dryer starts instantly when the line restarts and requires no preheating time, so energy is used only when ends are in the unit.
