BKG® Type AH D Underwater Pelletizers
The highly automized BKG® Type AH D pelletizers for large throughputs provide cutting technology at its best. The precise, reproducible, and constant blade pressure actuation ensure a high-quality pellet, even for complex and demanding materials.
Overview
Equipped with hydraulic blade pressure regulation and a hydraulic locking mechanism, the BKG® Type AH D underwater pelletizer is our most automized model. It can handle high throughputs and complex materials while being easy to operate and maintain.
A blade wear indicator and the fully automatic re-sharpening during operation ensure a perfect cut and minimize downtimes and operator intervention.
One concept - Different processes
The BKG® Type AH D pelletizer is combinable with a great diversity of die plates and cutter hubs, so you produce precisely the pellet you envision.

How it works
General working principle of a BKG® Underwater Pelletizer
Bypass
The BKG® Bypass Piping indicates the piping surrounding the cutting chamber. Entry of process water into the cutting chamber can be precisely timed via the bypass piping system, including (2) 2/2-way and (1) 3/2-way valves and related PLC programming.
Benefits
- Prevents freeze-off (blocking) of the die plate holes caused by the process water entering the cutting chamber too early
- Prevents agglomeration of the pellets caused by the process water entering the cutting chamber too late
- Mitigates a high volumetric loss of process water when stopping/uncoupling the pelletizer
