EcoBead™ E Electric Applicator Driver
The EcoBead E driver is a high-performance device that easily installs in a control cabinet to interface with a PLC. It is a two-trigger, two output-channel driver for electric applicators.
Overview
EcoBead E can be programmed to generate a pattern of dots or stitched beads to deliver any desired level of adhesive savings. The driver comes programmed with settings for the E400 series electric applicator, but can be configured via Wifi to drive many other hot melt or liquid adhesive electric applicators.
EcoBead™ E applicator drivers support communication to the PLC via the digital I/O. The configurable inputs can be used to purge or enable each channel or both channels at once. The status of the EcoBead™ E is communicated to a PLC through an NPN connection.
Versatile and Easy to Use
- Program driver settings via Wifi with any PC or smart device
- Two trigger inputs and two output channels
- Small driver size, DIN rail mounting and connectorized cabling facilitate installation in OEM control cabinet
- Each output can be:
- Programmed to drive different applicator types
- Tested independently via purge button or a signal from a PLC or a Wifi enabled PC or handheld smart device
- Four bead modes available: Dot/Gap, Dot/Savings, Stitch and Solid
- LEDs indicate triggers, outputs and system status at a glance
- Fully configurable to support current and future Nordson applicators

- Digital I/O:
- Enable/disable output or purge
- Fault indicated via NPN connection if an open/short coil or a thermal fault is detect
