Sustainable tea carton packaging

Lipton Manufacturing Poland is one of the world’s largest tea brands with European manufacturing in Katowice, Poland.

Committed to delivering exceptional quality and taste in its teas and prioritizing environmental concerns, Lipton decided to replace foil packaging with an adhesive application. The company chose Nordson hot melt equipment, including Nordson's ProBlue® Flex Melter and MiniBlue® II Applicators with SureBead Modules, which reduce the adhesive costs and the environmental footprint. “For selected lines in the project, our goal is 100% achieved and we have managed to eliminate over 270 tons of foil from our tea boxes yearly from the start of the project in 2020,” summarizes Robert Milej and adds as a further outlook: “In the near future we intend to rebuild further packaging lines by using glue instead of foil”.
