About the Medical and Fluid Solutions Segment
Medical and Fluid Solutions (MFS) is one of three segments that make up our precision technology solutions company, Nordson Corporation. Our two overarching areas of expertise are:
- Interventional solutions for minimally invasive procedure in cardiovascular, neurovascular and other interventional procedures.
- Fluid management and engineered fluid dispensing systems for life sciences and industrial applications.
- Surgical solutions that improve surgical, infusion and dialysis procedures.
Our products include medical balloons, catheters, syringes, fluid connection components, one and two component cartridges and precision dispensing systems. We play a critical role in supplying components and solutions integral to medical devices and procedures for your loved ones. Additionally, our engineered fluid solutions are critical to manufacturing the mobile device in your pocket or the wearable on your wrist.
The Divisions Within the Medical and Fluid Solutions Segment
All Nordson divisions are organized into one of our three segments. The MFS segment is one of Nordson’s top growth areas and includes the divisions Nordson Medical and Nordson EFD. Nordson Medical
Nordson Medical is a medical device manufacturer, developing standard and custom medical solutions and components. We’re globally renowned for precision engineering high-quality, complex medical device components and solutions that change patients' lives. We offer:
- Fluid management components, including luer fittings, tube fittings, stopcocks, and quick connect couplings.
- Interventional solutions for minimally invasive procedures, including nitinol components medical balloons, heat shrink tubing, and other precision-engineered medical devices.
- Surgical solutions, delivering advanced cardiovascular surgical devices including myocardial protection systems, vascular loops, aortic punches, and safety valves. Nordson EFD
Nordson EFD (Engineered Fluid Dispensing) develops fluid management and fluid dispensing equipment and systems.
Our engineered fluid solutions span a variety of industries; we develop industrial automated dispensing systems as well as precision dispensing solutions and medical fluid-control technologies for life sciences.
Our wide range of fluid dispensing systems falls into two categories:
- High-quality machines and fluid dispensing equipment developed for exceptional precision, accuracy, speed, and to enable automation. Nordson EFD develops fluid dispensing systems that are suitable for glues, sealants, silicones, cyanoacrylates, oils, solder pastes, greases, and more.
- Single-use fluid dispensing consumables, from syringe barrels and cartridges, to dispense tips and needles, two-component mixers, and solder paste, flux, and TIM.

Our Leadership
Justin Hall serves as Executive Vice President of the Medical and Fluid Solutions (MFS) Segment, which includes the Company’s fluid management solutions for medical, high-tech industrial, and other diverse end markets.
About Justin Hall, Executive Vice President MFS
The Medical and Fluid Solutions segment is led by our Executive Vice President, Justin Hall.
Mr. Hall joined Nordson's Industrial Coating Solutions division in 2006 as an application engineer, and has subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility, including leadership roles for Nordson Industrial Coating Solutions and automotive businesses globally. In 2020, he was promoted to general manager of Nordson Medical Fluid Components, where he led the implementation of NBS Next, with this division being one of the first to get involved in the NBS Next pilot program. Most recently, Mr. Hall was the vice president of Nordson Electronics Solutions where he deployed NBS Next holistically in the division, including repositioning the division’s global manufacturing as close to the customer as possible and positioning the business for profitable growth.
Mr. Hall holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Cleveland State University and an MBA from the University of Northern Colorado.
