Encore HD pumps use HDLV dense-phase technology with High Density powder, Low Velocity air. They transport the powder from the powder feed hopper to the Encore HD powder coating guns.

Encore HD pumps are built to deliver powder to spray systems with minimum of air for superior application efficiency. The most versatile operation is achieved by enabling the independent control of powder and air volumes. Superior recess coverage even at high powder output with the exceptionally soft spray patter.

HDLV Transfer Pump
HDLV® High-Capacity powder transfer pump is used for transferring recovered powder from a cyclone, adding fresh powder from a variety of the bulk-feed devices. High volumes of powder are transferred with minimum of air. This significantly reduces the need for any excess air venting, aids powder sieving, eliminates waste.
The high capacity pump station can also be integrated into your current system – pumping to and/or from various powder containers including

Principle of Operation
In a conventional, ejector-pump spray system, wear of venturis over time influences powder output. The effect of wearing venturis can be seen in the chart. To compensate for anticipated wear and powder output degradation, operators must balance between excessive applied coating cost and compromised quality.

Our Nordson Encore HD system operates for 10 hours per day, 5 days per week. Since installation we have only had to maintain one pinch valve in one of the HD pumps. That’s over 4,000 hours of maintenance free pump operation.
We took a look at several systems, conducted tests, and decided on HDLV dense phase technology from Nordson. It impressed us with its high performance and its coating quality.
Compared to our previous system with venturi pump technology, with the Nordson dense-phase technology we have powder material savings of around 30%. Throughout our 3-shift operation we coat consistently a film thickness of 80μ ±10 μ, which is important for the functionality of our lifting columns.
