Best practices for BisPhenol A Non-Intent (BPA-NI) coatings:
Dual MEG® II gun set up for BPA-NI: applies lower film weights with greater uniformity; reduces nozzle wear due to spray pressure reduction and allows for greater flexibility in can sizes.
Alternative gun positioning: Allows for lower flow rates and efficient fan patterns to compensate for a higher percentage of solids; nozzle variation allows for greater coverage and easier set-up and alternative gun positioning will benefit with both legacy and BPA-NI coatings.
Nozzle variation with wet-on-wet spray: nozzle variations allows for more efficient spray application resulting in reduced coating usage per can; assists with reducing metal exposure due to greater coverage on the can and allows for greater flexibility to your plant to dial in your spraying process.
Temperature Control: provides an effective method to monitor and maintain material temperature during your can coating operations; when coating materials are applied at optimal temperature, material viscosity is controlled and will not be adversely affected by changes in plant temperature.
CleanSpray XT™: reduces the frequency of manual nozzle brushing; you will see improved quality and labor savings with automatic nozzle cleaning and you will save an average of 3 hours of cleaning per 12 hour shift (per line).
