About the IPS Segment
Nordson Corporation is a vast industrial precision technology company that can be broken into three segments. Industrial Precision Solutions (IPS) is the largest segment within Nordson. The Industrial Precision Solutions segment focuses on precision dispensing and processing technology for a variety of end markets, like food and beverage, automotive, hygiene, and more.

The Divisions within the Industrial Precision Solutions Segment
All Nordson divisions are organized into one of our three segments. The divisions within the IPS segment fall into several processing technology pillars: adhesive dispensing, industrial coating, polymer processing, and smart farming technologies.
Packaging
Nordson Packaging division focuses on hot melt adhesive dispensing solutions that deliver precise, reliable bonding for a wide range of packaging applications, including case and carton sealing, beverage packaging, tray making, confectionery, pharmaceuticals, ecommerce, pallet stabilization, and labeling. Backed by 70+ years of partnership with CPGs and OEMs and global sales and service, the division emphasizes application quality and performance across both hot melt and cold adhesive systems to ensure structurally sound, aesthetically clean packages at scale.
Product Assembly
Nordson Product Assembly partners with product designers and manufacturers to enhance bonding and sealing across diverse markets, including for EV batteries, macro electronics, solar panels, building and construction, and home goods, by delivering precision adhesive dispensing equipment for stronger, more durable, and sustainable bonds. Leveraging experienced personnel and state-of-the-art global labs, the division helps solve challenging assembly problems and improve productivity through precision dispensing.
Nonwovens
Nordson Nonwovens supports the high-speed converting of rolled goods for disposable hygiene and medical applications, such as baby diapers, adult incontinence, feminine care, and nonwoven laminations, by offering precision dispensing equipment that precisely applies hot melt adhesives, lotions, perfumes, waxes, and specialty materials to optimize cost, quality, and line efficiency. With a broad portfolio of application solutions and equipment engineered for accuracy and consistency, the division helps manufacturers achieve reliable performance at scale across demanding nonwoven production environments.
Industrial & Powder Coating Systems
Nordson’s Industrial Coating Systems division focuses on delivering end-to-end industrial and powder coating solutions that enhance finish quality, productivity, and process control across manufacturing environments. The portfolio spans automatic and manual powder coating systems, powder coating booths, precision liquid spray equipment, container coating solutions, and specialized dispensing for automotive and eMobility applications, supported by popular products like Encore® automatic powder coating guns, ColorMax®2 booths, Trilogy™ electrostatic spray systems, and coatmaster Flex for non-contact film thickness measurement. These industrial coating solutions enable reliable, efficient, and repeatable coating performance at scale across industries from appliances and architecture to automotive and electronics.
Polymer Processing Equipment
Nordson’s Polymer Processing Systems division provides world-class equipment to melt, homogenize, filter, meter, shape, and pelletize polymers, supporting the full thermoplastics journey from extrusion and fluid coating to recycling. Our portfolio includes screen changers, melt pumps, polymer valves, pelletizers, jet cleaners, extrusion and coextrusion dies, coextrusion feedblocks, and precision slot die coating systems. These advanced solutions help polymer processors improve melt quality, achieve tighter tolerances, and enhance efficiency across applications from packaging and films to EV batteries and products for other high-performance industries.
