Pro-Meter® S PLC is supplied with positive material pressure by an Electric or Pneumatic Rhino Unloader and is integral to Nordson's complete dispensing system for automotive assembly applications

Cost-Saving Durability: Nordson’s exclusive ScoreGuard® surface finishing treatment resists scratching and pitting on the plunger rod, prolonging seal packing life, and reduces frequency of service and maintenance costs.
 
Assured Material Quality: First-in, first-out design of fluid paths prevents material from being stuck in the meter for longer than its desired shelf life, which can allow expired material to be dispensed without the user’s knowledge.
 
Technology unlocks new possibilities in performance: A servo actuator on every Pro-Meter S PLC can change speed mid-stroke, to adjust to bead width or robot speed changes. Alternatively the system can start and stop on the fly, to provide accurate dots and daubs, producing multiple precise shots in succession before the need to reload, resulting in lower cycle time and increased productivity. 
 
Industry’s simplest installation and maintenance: With a streamlined dress-out and simplified installation, quick change packings and an innovative split coupler to support in situ maintenance, the system improves safety and reduces complex maintenance routines.

Positive Rod Displacement Technology - Exact Ratios Every Time

No matter the material, positive rod displacement metering proportions materials to the exact volumetric ratio every time; even with notoriously difficult materials like abrasives that can cause machine wear.

Principle

As the metering rod moves through the cylinder, material is directed by inlet and outlet valves to ensure the displaced material is directed downstream. The shot size of the dispense is determined by the distance the metering rod travels whereas the flow rate is determined by the speed of such travel.
