Guidelines and tools for creating successful Nordson-branded promotional emails.


We have created the following guidelines and email templates to create a consistent visual output going forward.The importance of consistent communication of the Nordson brand is vital and following these guidelines will help ensure that your campaigns successfully convey this.

The attached HTML template was designed to well for mobile devices as well as desktop screens. Adhering to the font sizes suggested will help the email to be readable on small devices such as mobile and large screens such as desktops. Buttons are created to a standard that are easy to press with a thumb on mobile devices, and clear to see. When considering images for your email, remember that image heavy emails slow load times on mobile devices. If you are creating a new template that is not featured in this guide, design for simplicity, and keep these tips in mind as you craft your promotional communication:

  • Keep messaging clear and concise to maximize the impact of your email.
  • Assume images will be initially blocked by email clients, so make sure your headlines and body copy say everything you want to communicate.
  • Avoid background images, for example as these sometimes completely fail to load.
  • Font translation is important, our electronic brand font is Arial and is a universal cross-platform font.
  • Avoid elements that require Flash or JavaScript. If you need motion in an email, a .gif is the safest bet, if this is a required element consider consulting a graphic designer to ensure optimal results.
