Innovation Awards Honor Nordson Employees

An important part of Nordson's continued success is our ongoing commitment to innovation and our robust new product pipeline. New technology is a competitive differentiator that fuels organic growth. Overall, Nordson employees and retirees now hold a total of 3,124 patents. These patents recognize new technology that helps our customers by driving efficiency, reducing material waste, simplifying technology to improve ease of use, and more. Earlier this year, engineers were recognized at the annual Patent and Innovation Awards in Carlsbad, California; Atlanta, Georgia; and Amherst, Ohio.

These events honor employees across four categories:

Patent Award: Honors individual employees who are listed as an inventor on the first filed (priority) patent application, utility model application or design application.

Innovation Award: Honors employees who make a significant contribution in non-patented technical innovation, or in one of the following three new categories of innovation: process, customer or presence.

Nord Prize for Innovation: Honors an individual or team who has made an extraordinary contribution, whether or not patented, to Nordson's business growth or technology.

Nordson Fellowship of Distinguished Inventors: Recognizes individual inventors, current or retired, who have made an important contribution to Nordson's patented technology.

Congratulations to the honorees at the three events! We cannot wait to see what comes next from our engineers and business leaders.
