Nordson promotes Alberto Miranda to South America Regional Sales Manager for BKG® and Xaloy® Products


AUSTINTOWN, OH, U.S.A., December 6, 2019: Nordson Corporation has appointed Alberto E. Miranda to be South America regional sales manager for its BKG® and Xaloy® brands.

In this position he will be responsible for sales of BKG pelletizing systems; BKG melt delivery products, including melt filtration equipment and gear pumps; and Xaloy plasticating equipment, including screws, barrels, and front end components for injection molding and extrusion. He will oversee eight sales and service agencies in the region.

Recently Nordson completed construction of a new Americas hub for Xaloy products in Austintown, Ohio and a new laboratory in Hickory, North Carolina for BKG pelletizers and melt delivery components.

“Alberto brings to his new position eight years of experience with Nordson focusing on extrusion and injection molding applications,” said Rob Cook, manager of processor sales for the Americas. “Now he will draw on Nordson’s newly expanded production, sales, and support capabilities for serving customers in South America.

Mr. Miranda began his industrial career in 2008 as an engineering associate with Cernica Engineering, Inc. In 2011 he joined Xaloy Inc. (acquired by Nordson the following year) as an inside sales associate, managing Latin American accounts.

Alberto Miranda holds a bachelor of applied science degree from Youngstown State University in Ohio. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
