Our commitment to protecting your privacy.
Your privacy is important to Nordson.  We’ve developed this Policy on  Privacy Statement to address how Nordson, its subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information.  To ensure your personal data is secure, we communicate our information security and privacy guidelines to all Nordson employees and enforce privacy safeguards within the company.  

What information do we collect? 
We collect information from you when you browse or register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or fill out a form.  When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. Please note that this online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.

What do we use your information for?

We collect personal data for legitimate business purposes, which may include:

How do we protect your information? 
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.  These precautions may include password protections for online information systems and restricted access to personal data.  All inquiries from outside the company concerning identity, employment record, or performance of a current or terminated employee are referred to the Human Resources department and/or an attorney in the Law Department, who will verify the credentials of the agency representative before releasing information about a current or terminated employee.  

For our customers.  We offer the use of a secure server.  All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.  After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be kept on file for more than 60 days.

Do we use cookies? 
Yes (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart, understand and save your preferences for future visits and gather information about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools to you, our customer, in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties.  This excludes trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.  We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.  However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.  Because we value your privacy, we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act.  We will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Choice, Data Integrity & Access
Nordson takes reasonable steps to ensure that personal data is accurate, complete and current.  

For our employees. Nordson provides individuals the opportunity to opt out from allowing the company to disclose his or her personal information to a third party or to use it for a purpose. Certain Nordson employees who are in the Workday human capital management system may review and correct his or her data at any time.  All employees are asked to inform the Human Resources or Payroll departments, or his or her manager, immediately in the event of changes in personal information.  If any information is inaccurate or incomplete, the individual may request that inaccurate information be corrected.

In compliance with the US-EU Swiss Harbor Principles, Nordson commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information. Individuals may contact Gina Beredo, Deputy General Counsel & Assistant Secretary, at, to register complaints, to submit access requests, or to address any other issues arising under the Safe Harbor Principles. In addition, Nordson self-certifies annually with the U.S. Department of Commerce as a data controller and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission has been empowered to investigate complaints and to obtain redress for individuals.

Nordson has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the US-EU and US-Swiss Safe Harbor Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, the BBB EU SAFE HARBOR, operated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus. Information you provide may be transferred or accessed by Nordson, its affiliates or third party service providers we have retained to perform services on our behalf.
