Nordson Promotes Udo Grund to Senior Sales Development Manager for the Nordson BKG Range of Underwater Pelletizing Systems

MÜNSTER, GERMANY, May 7, 2015: Nordson Corporation has appointed Udo Grund  to be senior sales development manager of global projects and inside sales for the Nordson BKG range of underwater pelletizing systems, the company announced today.

Mr. Grund will be responsible for sales to polymer companies and management of key projects in support of the global sales team. 

“Udo’s fourteen-year career with Nordson BKG includes hands-on installation, engineering design, technical service, and sales management,” said Ralf Simon, managing director. “His focus on large projects in recent years has given him valuable experience in working with global customers on projects for high-volume polymers.”

Udo Grund joined Nordson BKG in 2001 as an electronics specialist working on machines in-house and at customer sites. In 2006 he assumed new responsibilities as a certified engineer working on electronic system design and development of improved components. He was promoted to project manager in 2012 and to sales manager in 2013, in both positions working on large-capacity projects. As sales manager he was responsible for sales in four European countries as well as China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.

Mr. Grund served his four-year apprenticeship as an electronics technician with Siemens AG and later became a certified electronics engineer. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Fachhochschule Münster (Münster University of Applied Sciences).
