Community

Nordson ASYMTEK employees share with their community through a program called Time 'n Talent

Our Time 'n Talent committee, in conjunction with our employees, organize local volunteer projects and recruit coworkers, retirees, friends and family members to volunteer on a project-by-project basis.

Within the Nordson Corporation, employees have organized and participated in more than 300 projects, volunteering more than 60,000 hours to local organizations. Based on national statistics, this equates into more than $1,000,000 given back to local communities through volunteerism.

The Mission of the Time 'n Talent Program

Our mission is to encourage volunteerism by providing all employees, retirees and their families opportunities to plan and participate in organized volunteer activities which address needs in our communities.

Past and On-Going Volunteer Projects

The Time 'n Talent committee helps our employees select volunteer opportunities that are close to home and have meaning in our lives. Some of our past and on-going projects partnered with Interfaith Community Services, Feeding San Diego, North County Lifeline, and Reach Out and Read. In addition, our employees also open up their hearts to help with a number of fundraisers, food drives, book drives, blood drives, and warm clothing drives supporting organizations such as Casa de Amparo,  the San Diego Humane Society, the San Diego Blood Bank and more.

Nordson ASYMTEK and our employees are highly involved in promoting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in our schools. Our employees mentor 20 teams as part of FIRST Robotics, which strives to inspire children to pursue learning and careers in science and technology.

A number of our employees also provide leadership support for organizations in the community, from serving on boards to being advisors. Examples include the Carlsbad Educational Foundation, Interfaith Community Services, Positive Community Action Theatre, MiraCosta College Business Roundtable, North County Philanthropy Council, and San Diego Grantmakers.

Going Green Carlsbad
