Concord, CA, June 17, 2009 – Nordson MARCH, the global leader in advanced plasma treatment systems, announced today that it plans to display its FlexTRAK-WR plasma etching system for wafer processing, and its NEW FlexTRAK-2MB plasma cleaning system for processing flip chip devices held in boats and flat carriers, at Semicon West 2009.
Nordson MARCH plans to display both plasma systems in its booth, South Hall #1014, and will have plasma experts on site to answer any questions customer have. Semicon West 2009 runs from July 14 to July 16, 2009 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, U.S.A.
The FlexTRAK-WR plasma etching system (for wafer processing) is Nordson MARCH’s top-of-the-line etcher for advanced wafer processing, PV device manufacturing, Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) applications, and wafer level packaging (WLP). The system is capable of processing a wide range of wafer sizes, and can etch and ash films such as photoresist, BCB, polyimide, silicon oxide, silicon nitride, as well as remove organic and inorganic contamination such as copper oxide, aluminum oxide and nickel oxide.
The NEW FlexTRAK-2MB plasma cleaning system (for processing flip chip devices held in boats and flat carriers) is one of Nordson MARCH’s newest products for advanced flip chip processing. Typically, customers use this system before dispensing flip chip underfill liquid, in order to improve underfill adhesion, increase liquid flow speed, prevent voids under the device, and improve both fillet height and uniformity around the edges of the device.
Nordson MARCH cordially invites you to visit our booth, South Hall #1014, during the Semicon West 2009 to discuss how our complete line of plasma systems can improve your production yield, reduce device defects, and increase product reliability.
