Responsibilities:

 

JOB SUMMARY

             The Field Service Engineer will service existing and new ICS Powder and Liquid customers at their site.  Responsibilities will include installation of new equipment as well as maintenance service.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

             Installation and on-site project support for installation of new equipment.

o             Interface to Nordson assigned project manager.

o             Serve as site manager and the Nordson representative during the installation effort.

o             Ability to supervise skilled tradesmen to erect and install all Nordson supplied equipment.

o             Communicate and resolve issues so that successful sign-off is reached with the customer.

             Ensure and provide service to existing customers.  Have mechanical, electrical and electronic knowledge and skills to perform needed service and instruct others on maintaining Nordson equipment.

             Perform system audits of Nordson equipment.

             Coordinates the training of customer personnel in proper use, maintenance and service of equipment.

             Maintains detailed knowledge of Nordson products, policies and follows procedures.

             Performs other duties as assigned.

             Other duties as assigned.

Education Required:

 

Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.  The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic environment.  The required qualifications are as follows:

Education:

             Associate degree or two-year technical school certificate or credit.  Without a degree, eight years experience with maintenance and service and the ability to demonstrate industrial electrical/mechanical knowledge is a requirement.

Experience Required:

 

             Minimum of 4 years successful experience in industrial service or equipment installation is required.  Previous experience in the finishing industry is preferred. 

             Experience with PLCs, Allen Bradley programming language preferred.

Skills:

 

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

             Basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting skill is required.

             Proficient in Microsoft Office.

             Ability to travel, including intermittent global travel.

             Demonstrated ability to learn.

             Ability to work independently; self starter.

             Finishing application experience is a plus.

             Knowledge of Ethernet, CAN, and networking.
