New Component Material Compatibility

August 19, 2009

Dear Customer:

We have made numerous improvements in our new Optimum™ line of dispensing components. We continue to use the same basic materials in their construction so you can be assured of the same outstanding level of chemical compatibility you enjoy today.

The new Optimum pistons are manufactured from the same material as Ultra™ pistons. The colorants and their concentrations in the beige, white, red and blue pistons are the same for both the Optimum and Ultra product lines.

The new barrels are manufactured from a proprietary blend of polypropylene resins that provide an excellent combination of clarity, toughness and chemical compatibility. The resin blend used in the new Optimum™ line will continue to provide the same level of chemical compatibility as our existing Ultra™ line.

components, produced and distributed by EFD, Inc. are in compliance with European Directive 2002/95/EC (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), regarding the content of the six identified restricted hazardous substances (mercury 0.1%, cadmium 0.01%, lead 0.1%, hexavalent chromium 0.1%, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) 0.1% and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) 0.1%).

Sincerely,
