Nordson DAGE bondtesters provide cavity shear testing (up to 5kg) as an alternative method for applying a load to a solder ball or ball bond. It is particularly useful for applications where the ball bond is surrounded by a thick layer of passivation which prevents the normal positioning of the loadtool for landing, touchdown and shear height control.
