Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) recently released a conversion clamp kit and a flexible solenoid tubing kit that allow users of Nordson ClassicBlue® and SolidBlue® pneumatic adhesive applicators to easily upgrade to MiniBlue II applicators to reduce their total cost of ownership and operation.
MiniBlue II applicators feature patented module and solenoid technology that deliver the longest operating life of any pneumatic applicator in the packaging industry, as well as cleaner operation and consistent, repeatable patterns even at high speeds.
The new conversion clamp kit allows customers to mount a MiniBlue II wide-body applicator to their machine without adjustments or changes to existing packaging machine bracketry. The entire conversion process consists of three simple steps: removal of a single-module ClassicBlue or SolidBlue applicator; installation of the new conversion clamp kit, and installation of the new MiniBlue II applicator.
The flexible solenoid tubing kit permits the MiniBlue II applicator and Saturn® SP solenoid to be more easily installed in parent packaging machinery that has limited space for adhesive applicators. The flexible tubing and connectors are used in place conventional rigid tubing and allows solenoids to be side-mounted or oriented at the angle required by space limitations.
