Duluth, GA, USA

05 Oct 2009

The Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) recently received ISO 9001:2008 certificates for facilities in Duluth, Dawsonville, Norcross and Swainsboro, all valid for the design and manufacture of equipment for packaging, adhesive, sealant, and product assembly applications. The certificates, which were awarded by the independent agency Det Norske Vertitas (DNV), are renewed every three years and continue the Nordson facilities’ uninterrupted ISO certification since 1994.

“Efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction are of the utmost concern for us at Nordson, and, as a result, we highly regard ISO certification as part of our management process,” says Jim DeVries, vice president, adhesive systems for Nordson Corporation. “As a global leader in high efficiency dispensing equipment, we feel ISO certification is critical to communicating our dedication to the best possible manufacturing practices. We’re also proud to have the approval of DNV, one of the world's leading certification bodies.”

ISO 9001:2008, which sets international requirements for quality management systems, is globally recognized as the standard for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality benchmarks and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships. ISO 9001 addresses an organization’s ability to meet both its customers’ and regulatory requirements, but it also assesses the company’s achievement of continual overall improvement in ISO objectives.
