As part of their ongoing quest to exceed customer expectations, Century Box of Methuen, Massachusetts recently installed a new Omega AllPro 110 S folder gluer from Can-Am equipped with a Nordson® Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) LogiComm® pattern control and verification system including bar code, adhesive and cello verification with integrated carton ejection. Additionally, they have upgraded all existing lines with newly-developed LogiComm control and verification technology. Investment in these new manufacturing systems allows Century Box to continue delivering the highest-quality, most cost-effective folding cartons possible.
This new technology further increases the flexibility and efficiency that have helped make Century Box a premier supplier. Incorporation of the three Nordson LogiComm® combined control and verification systems simplifies set-up and provides real-time inspection and feedback. Each of the LogiComm systems connects centrally to Century Box’s ERP and provides real-time quality data collection. “The ability to reliably and accurately produce and verify adhesive application allows Century to maintain high-speed, high-quality production and keep customer costs down,” says David Kagan, Century Box managing director.
The Omega folder-gluer has multiple Nordson LA 825 RC guns as well as a variety of LogiComm sensors to verify parameters including adhesive application, bar code accuracy and substrate alignment. This flexible configuration provides for easy changes between numerous carton styles and virtually limitless carton sizes and adhesive patterns.
