Quality Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

 

·          Responsible for the overall product testing in Swainsboro including equipment and procedure

·          Able to quickly analyze and solve test equipment and related issues to support the operation.

·          Provide timely preventive and corrective maintenance of test equipment.

·          Support continuous improvement events

·          Develop and/or improve testing methods to solve quality issues or quality risks

·          Provide training and certify test workers to do production testing.

·          Maintain test instruction and reports for production testing

·          Support Value Stream Leads by analyzing the defective product and components

·          Work closely with the Test Engineering Group to update testers and testing methods

·          Maintain tester spare parts inventory

Education Required:

 

·          College Degree with emphasis in electrical engineering.

Experience Required:

· 3+ years working experience with manufacturing in-line testing equipment

Skills:

 

·          Familiar with UL safety testing, such as Hipot and Ground Bond test.

·          Able to understand electrical and mechanical drawings

·          Strong communication skills with internal and external teams

·          NI Test Stand and Microsoft Access software skills are a plus, but not required

·          Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

·          Be able and willing to work under pressure, be positive and optimistic

·          Drive problems toward resolution when encountering ambiguity, uncertainty, or inflexibility.

·          Hold self accountable for achieving goals and meeting commitments
