Nordson Names Anne M. Pombier as Director of Corporate Development

Westlake, Ohio, USA – January 4, 2010 -  Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) today announced the appointment of Anne M. Pombier as the company’s director of corporate development. 

Pombier will be responsible for the identification, evaluation, analysis and completion of merger, acquisition and divestiture opportunities for Nordson on a global basis.  She will evaluate the alignment of opportunities to Nordson’s strategy, assess their financial value and cultural fit, and negotiate transactions to successful resolution.

Pombier joins Nordson with extensive domestic and international experience in developing and executing corporate strategic initiatives including public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and licensing arrangements.  She has led or participated in over 100 transactions ranging in size from $500,000 to over $1 billion with a focus in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Most recently, Pombier served as manager of business planning and development for Parker Hannifin Corporation.  Previously, she spent nine years with Nacco Industries Inc. as director of corporate development, and eight years with TRW Inc., where she also served as director of corporate development after progressing through a variety of related positions. 

Pombier will report directly to Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer Edward P. Pombier holds a Master of International Business Studies degree from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.
