Westlake, Ohio, USA – January 11, 2010 - Nordson Corporation’s (NASDAQ - NDSN) Dawsonville, Georgia manufacturing facility has been named one of the ten best manufacturing plants in North America as a winner in Industry Week magazine’s 2009 Best Manufacturing Plants competition. It is the second year in a row a Nordson plant has been named a winner, as the company’s Swainsboro, Georgia facility earned the same honor in 2008.
“The Dawsonville team is extremely proud to be recognized as winner in Industry Week’s Best Plants competition,” said Plant Manager Jeff Skimel. “Our efforts are driven by the need to provide value to our customers, and we continue to focus on reducing lead times, simplifying processes, and improving productivity and quality.”
A finalist in the 2008 competition, the Dawsonville facility manufactures products and systems for the dispensing of adhesive in a wide variety of applications, including the manufacturing of baby diapers and disposable hygienic products and the labeling of food, beverage and other consumer products.
