Nicholson Awards Honor "investor-Friendly" Annual Reports

WESTLAKE, Ohio –  November 8, 2005 –    Nordson Corporation  (Nasdaq:NDSN) today announced that it has received a 2005 Nicholson Award from BetterInvesting, the brand identity of the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC). Nordson received the award in the machinery industry category for its 2004 annual report, which highlighted the company’s 50 years of operation and innovation. The Nicholson Awards are given to publicly traded corporations that produce annual reports that are clear, readable and easy for investors to understand and use.  

This year, 277 companies submitted their annual reports for consideration by the Nicholson Awards committee. More than 300 BetterInvesting volunteers judged the entries against those of similar-sized companies within their respective industries. Sixty-two companies in 28 categories were honored.
