Nordson YESTECH Showcases FX SL High-Speed Automated Optical Inspection System at SMTA International 2012

27 Sep 2012

Carlsbad, CA, USA – Nordson YESTECH, a subsidiary of Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) and a leading supplier of automated optical and x-ray inspection systems for the electronics industry, will showcase their latest generation FX SL Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) solution for printed circuit boards at this year’s SMTA International held on October 16-17, Booth 305 at Walt Disney World, Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Nordson YESTECH will demonstrate the latest technology FX-SL Series AOI, with advanced 5 megapixel color camera technology and Fusion Lighting™, offering high-speed PCB inspection with exceptional defect coverage and an extremely low false failure rate. FX SL AOI offers accelerated throughput at over twice the inspection speed of previous generation systems without sacrificing our proven defect coverage and extremely low false failure rate. The FX SL saves valuable inspection time, delivering high speed automated inspection of solder and lead defects, component presence and position, correct part, polarity and through-hole parts.

Programming is also fast and easy, with operators typically taking less than 1 hour to create a complete inspection program, including solder inspection. The FX-SL AOI is equally effective for paste, pre / post-reflow or final assembly inspection and is configurable for all line positions. The FX utilizes a standard package library to simplify training and insure program portability across manufacturing lines. Off-line programming maximizes machine utilization and real-time SPC monitoring provides a valuable yield enhancement solution.

“We are very pleased to be showcasing our latest technology AOI inspection solutions at this years SMTA show,” said Nordson YESTECH VP of Sales, Troy Johnson. “It is great opportunity to meet with our clients in the region and introduce them to the latest enhancements to AOI inspection technology.”
