POSITION SUMMARY
A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting, researching, planning, and designing mechanical, pneumatic and electromechanical products and systems for the medical device industry. He/She coordinates the activities involved in the fabrication, operation, application, installation, and support of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the research and analysis of data such as design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Design products or systems that include machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic, or heat transfer systems. Some products integrate such items with instruments, controls, robots, and customer machines.
- Assist with fabrication of product test equipment, and development of methods and procedures used for testing products or systems.
- Perform fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
- Research and develop solutions to products requiring revision or update and processes through the Quality Management system.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
