Needle Valves

The 741V Series needle valve design applies low viscosity assembly fluids with accurate, extremely close repeat deposit control.

The 741V Series needle valve applies low-viscosity fluids in accurate, repeatable amounts. Because the stainless steel needle seats in the tip adapter, there is virtually no dead fluid volume between shots.

During operation, controlled pulsed air acts on the piston to withdraw the needle a preset distance from the needle seat to provide exact, repeatable fluid flow from the valve.

Two configurations are available:

  • The basic 741V Series needle valve configuration is actuated by an external solenoid and is capable of more than 400 cycles per minute, at pressures up to 300 psi.
  • The 741V Series needle valve with BackPack™ Valve Actuator has a compact solenoid installed on the valve’s actuating air cylinder for faster response time and less variation due to fluctuating plant air supplies or different air line lengths. Advanced miniature solenoid technology makes it possible to achieve valve actuation speeds as short as 5-6 milliseconds and cycle rates as high as 800 per minute. (The BackPack™ Valve Actuator is also available separately for installation on existing 741V Series needle valves.)

The complete needle valve system includes the 741V dispense valve, ValveMate™ 8000 controller, fluid reservoir and dispense tips.
