As Group Vice President–Fluid Management, Mr. Pembroke is responsible for accelerating profitable global growth in the Advanced Technology Segment’s three fluid management divisions–Nordson EFD, Nordson MICROMEDICS, and Value Plastics. Before assuming his current position, Mr. Pembroke served as President of Nordson EFD.
Mr. Pembroke joined Nordson Corporation in 2005 as vice president of sales and marketing for the company’s Industrial Coating & Automotive Systems segment. In 2006, he moved to Nordson’s Adhesive Dispensing Systems segment, where he served as vice president of sales and marketing with global responsibilities.
Prior to joining Nordson, Mr. Pembroke spent 16 years at General Electric, starting as a financial analyst before serving in several sales and marketing assignments with increasing responsibility, including director of commercial operations for GE Advanced Materials for the Americas.
Mr. Pembroke holds a B.S. degree from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics and is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program (FMP).
Mr. Forden joined Nordson EFD in 2012 with the goal of leading the company to achieve its growth objectives through a combination of customer focus, new product development and continuous improvement.
As Vice President and General Manager, he will utilize his extensive strategic planning, competitive analysis and marketing skills gained through 25 years of leadership experience across multiple industries within General Electric Company and Johns Manville.
Mr. Forden holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
Mr. Zgonc has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and execution of EFD’s global manufacturing, engineering and quality initiatives.
Prior to joining Nordson EFD in 2010, Mr. Zgonc led the Global Product Management Organization for Nordson's Adhesives Systems Group. During his 13 years at Nordson, he has held positions ranging from test engineering, technology development, product development and leadership of product management.
Mr. Zgonc holds a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Georgia State University.
Danny M. Crane
Mr. Crane has overall responsibility for developing and implementing world class processes, systems and metrics that improve Nordson EFD’s capabilities to design, manufacture and deliver defect-free products and services on a sustainable basis to our customers worldwide.
Most recently, Mr. Crane was Quality Assurance Manager and Manufacturing Manager for Molded Products. Previous experience includes 9 years at Collins and Aikman Inc., as a Manufacturing Manager servicing the automotive industry.
Mr. Crane holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a Masters in Business Administration from Bryant University. He also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt and Quality Auditor Certification.
George M. Briar
Mr. Briar is responsible for all Manufacturing and Distribution operations at EFD’s Robbinsville facility, including injection molding, tooling, automation, assembly, quality assurance, shipping, receiving and inventory control. He is also the plant’s ISO Management Representative, responsible for all Continuous Improvement and Lean Initiatives.
Prior to Nordson’s acquisition of TAH Industries in 2007, Mr. Briar had been serving as TAH’s CFO for 10 years. Previous experience includes both large public and smaller entrepreneurial firms, primarily in manufacturing environments.
Mr. Briar is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree from Lycoming College in Pennsylvania.
Wayne Burkett Jr.
Mr. Burkett is responsible for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in Nordson EFD’s Rhode Island manufacturing facility.
Prior to joining Nordson EFD, Mr. Burkett served as Manufacturing and Engineering Manager at the Saint-Gobain CertainTeed plant in Norwood, Massachusetts and held operations and engineering management roles at Pearson Composites, along with engineering roles at Sea Ray Boats in Florida and The Hinckley Company in Rhode Island.
Mr. Burkett holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University in Florida.
Ms. Vergano has oversight responsibilities for Nordson EFD’s and Nordson MEDICAL’s (Avalon, Micromedics, and Value Plastics) human resources functions, providing strategic capacity and experience to address the challenging and complex business environment that faces Nordson’s fluid management businesses.
Most recently, Ms. Vergano held the position of Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development at AR Metallizing/Vacumet, a global manufacturer of specialized packaging materials. Prior to that, she served as an Interim Director of Human Resources at TMC Services, a Human Resources Business Partner at SMTC Manufacturing Corporation, and a Senior Employee Relations Manager at Wayne J. Griffin Electric.
Ms. Vergano has a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College.
