Job Title:

Director of Marketing




The Director of Marketing plans and directs strategic marketing plans of organization’s products and services on a global scale by performing industry value assessments and executing on strategic business development plans and growth opportunities.

  • Establishes strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
  • Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization
  • Researches and analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity
  • Responsible for product line and portfolio management of the EFD business. This includes developing multi-generation product plans, identifying product line gaps and opportunities, and aligning resources to leverage our capabilities to drive double digit growth
  • Develops and manages marketing operating budget
  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail
  • Evaluates and recommends distribution channel development programs
  • Determines agencies and suppliers of record, and negotiates contract terms and conditions for major services
  • Serves as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns
  • Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials
  • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Monitors competitive products and marketing activities
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners
  • Resolves conflict and facilitates changes in structure of marketing group to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response e to marketing problems and opportunities
  • Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts, and provides feedback for future product development
  • Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluations of these units
  • Supervises individual contributors and subordinate managers within the functional organization; Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial experience including direct sales
  • Demonstrated experience in developing industry value assessments and executing on strategic business development and growth opportunities


  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans
  • Demonstrated negotiation, relationship management, facilitation, and decision making skills
  • Critical and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess a high level of energy and passion for growth, a global mind-set and have the ability to travel both domestic and internationally

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Marketing highly preferred
