DULUTH, Georgia - January 19, 2007 – Patent-pending Universal Signature spray nozzles from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq – NDSN) produce random hot melt adhesive patterns with dense, uniform coverage for nonwovens, wide and narrow web coating, and general manufacturing and assembly applications.
Continuous random patterns yield consistent bonding, tolerate process parameter changes, and help improve product quality. Larger adhesive orifices and spraying farther from webs produce superior clog resistance that maximizes production uptime for higher product output. If a single nozzle orifice becomes contaminated, the loss of flow has a negligible effect on the pattern and end product quality.
Each nozzle features multiple orifices to produce random patterns that blend well without heavy or light areas. Durable all-steel nozzles are available in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full-width versions that operate in multiple orientations, including horizontal. Production speed capability up to 600 meters per minute supports advanced high-speed operations.
Signature spray nozzles dispense farther from webs to improve web routing and serviceability, and decrease exposure to airborne contaminants that can compromise performance. Low air consumption reduces compressed air process costs and overspray.
The advanced nozzle seal provides a positive hydraulic seal for leak-free operation. Compatibility with Nordson Universal modules lowers costs to upgrade existing installations.
