DAWSONVILLE, Georgia - September 5, 2006 - VersaBlue XC Series adhesive melters from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq – NDSN) employ high-capacity pumps and a choice of 50-, 100- and 200-liter melter tanks; as well as system and temperature controls for high-volume, high-speed coating and laminating of paper, textiles, films, nonwovens and other wide-web materials.
High-capacity, metering spur-gear pumps can deliver up to 118.7 cubic centimeters per revolution. Melters accept up to eight single-stream or eight dual-stream pumps with variable-speed AC motors. Key options include specialized temperature controls and remote PLC control for coating stands to support wide-web operations.
A choice of controls systems provides seamless integration into current production environments. These include a high-performance PC, an Allen-Bradley® ControlLogix® PLC or Siemens® S7 PLC. Simplified operation and programming with a graphical touch-screen panel and single-point system management reduce complexity by combining auxiliary temperature, motor and pressure controls.
Quick-disconnect hose/gun power and input/output connectors speed installation and setup. Open access to electrical and hydraulic sections provides easier servicing. Modular design allows users to upgrade and retrofit configurable options on-site. Common parts with other VersaBlue melters help reduce inventory requirements.
