The DropCure System, a new version of the compact MonoCure™ system, offers unparalleled UV intensity with no air movement – the technology of choice in the UV inkjet industry. It uses a single, water-cooled quartz tube and dichroic reflectors to provide an intense UV band while eliminating almost all of the direct and reflected infrared radiation and the necessity for additional cooling devices.
The DropCure system is available in various lengths and with power levels over 275 watt/cm (700 watt/inch).
- Dichroic reflectors reflect useful UV energy while absorbing harmful infrared energy.
- Secondary external reflectors refocus UV energy to maximize intensity onto the substrate.
- Water-cooled lamphead and filtering tube absorb direct infrared energy and keep it from adversely affecting the ink jet heads or heat-sensitive substrate.
- Shutter-less design provides the dependability of no moving parts.
- No ozone is produced outside the lamphead, eliminating the need for costly air extraction systems.
- Elimination of noisy air extraction keeps lamps and reflectors cleaner, for reduced maintenance, longer service life and optimum UV performance.
