New 400/480 volt ProBlue adhesive melters from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq - NDSN) make high-voltage melter installation fast, easy and space efficient.

The new 400/480 volt melters use a low-profile transformer that fits directly under the melter base. Placing the transformer beneath the melter eliminates the need for a remotely mounted auxiliary transformer. The transformer footprint is the same as standard ProBlue melters, and adds only 73 mm (2.875 inches) in height, allowing placement in limited space on packaging machinery.

The transformer is separate from the melter, permitting the melter or the tranformer to be replaced without the cost of changing both components.

Specific electrical connections are provided and no modification or additional wiring of the melter is required, easing installation and set-up.

The 400/480 volt ProBlue melters are available in 4, 7 and 10-liter tank sizes and in 2 and 4 hose and gun configurations. They are compatible with standard 230-volt Nordson hoses and guns, allowing customers to standardize their parts inventories.
