Duluth, Georgia - September 15, 1998 - The new, patent-pending H-400 automatic hot melt adhesive gun from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq-NDSN) doubles the service life of the proven industry standard H-200 designs. Such unmatched durability significantly reduces module replacement costs, downtime and maintenance.

In addition to unsurpassed service life, the H-400 gun delivers exceptional adhesive cutoff that improves product quality while reducing rejects and clean-up. All H-400 modules feature a small adhesive chamber between the needle tip and nozzle that improves cutoff and limits adhesive drool.

Two types of actuation are available to match your adhesive and deposition requirements; air-open air-close (AOAC) and air-open spring-close (AOSC). The AOSC version meets the deposition requirements of most applications; AOSC modules retrofit on H-200 gun bodies or are available on complete gun assemblies. AOAC guns have a strong closing force to minimize stringing, especially with aggressive and pressure-sensitive materials. Both actuation types include the benefits of long service life.

Nordson Corporation designs, manufactures and markets systems that apply adhesives, sealants and coatings to consumer and industrial products during manufacturing operations. Headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, Nordson has 40 direct operations in 32 countries, and more than 4,000 employees worldwide.
