DULUTH, Georgia - January 5, 2007– The new LA 404-2 pattern control system from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq—NDSN) delivers application flexibility with simple set-up and operation.  The system features a scrollable, LCD display to simplify operator interaction.  With a choice of six bead types and up to four-channel capability, the system is suited for high-end packaging, product assembly or folding carton, envelope, and bag and sack manufacturing.

The LA 404-2 control provides a selection of bead choice and four trigger inputs to meet a broad range of application requirements.  The integrated driver controls up to eight cold glue electric guns or twenty-four 24V, 5.8 watt-solenoid pneumatic guns.

The quick connect cabling, integrated gun driver board and tip sealing activators ease installation of the LA 404-2 control system.  Programming and operation are simplified with the menu-driven, scrollable LCD display; multi-language capability; and 100-program memory.  RS232 communication allows saving or downloading programs to PC and the ability to upgrade software electronically.

The LA 404-2 features independent gun run-up allowing gun pressure management over multiple lines.  The run-up control minimizes adhesive waste during start-up and shutdown.
