DULUTH, Georgia - March 1, 2006– Pneumatic gun jackets from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq—NDSN) are insulating devices specifically designed for use with Nordson ClassicBlue™, SolidBlue™ and SureBead™ single module dispensing guns.
Used to insulate gun bodies and modules, gun jackets minimize the temperature differential between guns and ambient air, reducing energy costs by as much as 50 percent.
Guns are protected from adhesive char and stringing, reducing maintenance time and costs. Safety is also improved as the potential for incidental operator contact with hot gun surfaces is minimized.
Insulating jackets maintain adhesive quality by lessening gun and adhesive cooling and improve performance by allowing more immediate adhesive flow following periods of inactivity including system warm-up, machine dwell time or product changeovers.
Made with heat insulating, easy-to-clean, corrosion-resistant materials and Velcro® HI-GARDE®* stainless-steel closures, gun jackets withstand the operating temperatures of hot melt adhesive dispensing operations.
