Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq – NDSN) announced the appointment of Pinckney B. Smith II to technical service representative, as the Paper and Paperboard Converting (PPC) specialist. Smith was formerly technical training instructor/ developer for the company’s Adhesive Dispensing division.
The PPC business unit, located in Duluth, Georgia, and with offices and manufacturing facilities in Fairfield, New Jersey, and Udehnhout, The Netherlands, designs, manufactures and markets hot melt and cold adhesive dispensing, monitoring and verification systems used in envelope, folding carton, bag and sack, and corrugated box manufacturing and in the print finishing and post-press graphic arts industries.
Chuck Waychoff, sales manager for the Nordson PPC group, said, “Pinckney brings a tremendous amount of experience to the position. His product knowledge includes both hot melt and cold adhesive dispensing and verification systems and he has the benefit of having trained individuals in all aspects of Nordson equipment.”
Smith joined Nordson in 1999 as a technical training instructor/developer.
Smith received his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from the University of the State of New York in Albany, New York. He also has had extensive training in electronics and quality management.
