DAWSONVILLE, Georgia - October 5, 2004 - Dawsonville, GA - New CTL 4400 NW lab coater from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq – NDSN) provides more efficient testing and demonstrating capabilities for nonwovens product developers and hot melt adhesive suppliers. Design flexibility allows users to accurately simulate application and production requirements.

The CTL 4400 NW coater handles maximum web widths of 360 millimeters at speeds up to 600 meters per minute. Precise delivery of contact or non-contact patterns enhances flexibility in slot, spray or bead dispensing. Electronic tension control, calculated for nonwovens substrate tolerances, improves product quality. Automatic retraction prevents burn-through and web distortion during machine stops.

Adjustable rollers reposition easily to accommodate different applicator configurations. The coater facilitates installation of alternate modules for specific requirements, including roll coating, application against a driven coating roll, UV curing and optional edge guiding. Two unwinds and one rewind are available.
