DAWSONVILLE, Georgia - April 16, 2002 - New Speed-Coat applicators from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq-NDSN) are ideal for high speed intermittent and continuous applications. These applicators combine the latest Nordson technology and manufacturing techniques to meet today's high-speed production and application accuracy requirements.

The Speed-Coat applicator's robust design simplifies set-up, delivers long life operation and produces a highly repeatable pattern, maximizing productivity. Its flexible and compact design enables the applicator to be customized and ensures it fits easily on any nonwovens production line. The integrated module and applicator body delivers the fastest pneumatic gun response time in the industry.

The Speed-Coat applicator's optimized snuff-back control module delivers precise adhesive cutoff, minimizing contamination between patterns. The quick-change module and filter assemblies reduce replacement time by 50 percent. The applicator's nozzle design simplifies set-up and provides application quality when web routing or web tension is not optimized.

Recirculation modules are available for applications with long gaps between patterns, or to keep adhesive circulating through the system during machine stops. A double-module design with alternating cycling modules is also available for extremely short gaps between patterns.
