DULUTH, Georgia - November 21, 2001 - Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq - NDSN) announced it would be relocating its Nonwovens Systems Group, previously located in Norcross, Georgia, to its 150,000 square foot facility in Dawsonville, Georgia. The Norcross facility will be used to accommodate Nordson's growing Packaging and Product Assembly manufacturing requirements. Already located at the Dawsonville facility are Nordson's Fiber Systems and Web Coating business units, which also serve the nonwovens markets, as well as, the U.S. portion of manufacturing for the Nonwovens Systems Group.
The Nonwovens Systems Group's closer proximity to the Fiber Systems and Web Coating groups will enable each of the business units to share the technology and application expertise of each other and more effectively integrate product development, engineering, marketing and customer support programs. This comprehensive and dedicated approach to meet the needs of customers makes Nordson the only multi-national company in the world capable of offering total system solutions for the manufacturer of nonwovens and disposable products.
