DULUTH, Georgia - January 6, 2001 - New VL 300 System Series Melters from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq - NDSN) use advanced technology in a system that is easy to operate, simple to maintain and flexible enough to meet a variety of adhesive application requirements. Equipped with a Vista™ Temperature Control System and available with either one or two variable-speed AC motors, VL 300 melters are capable of producing a wide range of nonwoven disposable products.

Nordson Vista controls increase productivity through precise temperature control for better accuracy and stability and automation of functions, including start-up and shutdown. Vista controls also provide remote monitoring capability and self-diagnostics quickly identify fault conditions and facilitate repair or replacement.

The hydraulic system of the VL 300 melters provides maximum flexibility. Depending upon adhesive application requirements, VL 300 melters can be equipped with a variety of holding capacities and are configured for internal circulation. They can be supplied with one or two drive systems and single-stream gear pumps. Melters are available in three different hopper capacities including 8.6 kg, 14 kg, and 32 kg.
