New Series 400 Cable Coating Heads from Nordson Corporation deliver a uniform concentric coating to reel-to-reel substrates including coax cable, fiberglass rod, transformer winding wire, polypropylene yarn, and fiberoptic cable. The heads apply hot or warm materials such as flooding/filling and water-blocking compounds, hot melt adhesives and dielectric coatings.

A variety of Series 400 Cable Coating Heads are available to solve most coating needs on substrates up to 6 inches in diameter. Both stranding and top coating heads are available. Both types utilize material delivery control schemes to minimize waste, mess, and operator intervention while producing consistent coatings. Closed heads can be configured as either dead end or circulating.

The Series 400 Cable Coating Heads can be used in conjunction with Nordson melters to create an integrated adhesive/sealant application system customized to your production line. The Series 400 integrates with Nordson melters including the 5000 Series Drum Melters, the 3000 Series Adhesive Applicators, ProlinkS or the Series 6000 Adhesive Application System.
